Welcome to Team Terrain-osaurus Rex!

I know what you're thinking.  "What is a Terrain-osaurus Rex, and why is that the name of this Emerge team?"

In the book of Joshua, after wandering the wilderness for 40 years, God's people finally enter the promised land.  This promise isn't exactly a free gift -- they have to fight to take this territory.  Even after they finally have victory over the dozens of evil kingdoms that had been in the land, though, there's a mountain within the borders of Israel's promised territory that still belongs to the enemy.

But Caleb remembered the promise that God had made to him personally for his faithfulness.  Even though he didn't yet possess it, that mountain belonged to Caleb.  He said, "Give me this mountain!"  It was an uphill battle, literally, for Caleb to take this terrain.  But when he took it, it became an inheritance for his entire lineage.

At Awaken Church, we believe in taking territory, both literally and spiritually.  But if, when you find yourself surrounded the territories you have taken with God, you see that there is still a mountain within your borders that the enemy is claiming, it's time to climb that mountain, fight uphill, and take terrain!

Taking territory.  Taking terrain.

That's the mission of Team T-Rex.  (Sometimes, "Terrain-osaurus Rex" is just too long to say.)  Emerge Conference 2023 is going to be a powerful moment in time where those mountains are conquered and that terrain is taken, for you and everyone that comes after you.
